Running Boston with Dougie’s Team allowed Briscoe to give back in a powerful way, helping the Flutie Foundation support people with autism and their families in living life to the fullest.
“We want to lead by example,” Briscoe said. “To show our girls what it means to work hard, set goals, embrace failure, and keep going. That we can all do hard things.”
Former NFL and Heisman Trophy-winning Boston College quarterback Doug Flutie and his wife Laurie started the "Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism" in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3.
