June Is 'Dog Month' At Farmington Town Hall
Starting June 1, Farmington is licensing and renewing licenses for its dogs, with one, possibly, being named 'Top Dog.'

FARMINGTON, CT — June is dog licensing month and the Town of Farmington this week gave notice of how folks can license their furry pals and, perhaps, earn him or her "top dog" status.

Dog License Renewals begin on Saturday, June 1, at the Farmington Town Clerk’s office.
A rabies certificate from the veterinarian must accompany payment if the rabies on file is expired.

If a dog has been spayed or neutered, the certificate from the vet must be presented as well.
The fee for dog licensing is $8 for a spayed/neutered dog and $19vfor an unaltered dog.
A late fee of $1 per month is assessed beginning July 1.
New dog owners have up to 30 days to license their dogs and/or up to 6 months of age.
'Top Dog'
As part of June events during Dog Licensing Month, the Farmington Town Clerk’s office is holding a “Top Dog” drawing, on June 20, at 10 a.m.
Dog owners can join the fun, by entering their pooch for a chance to wear Farmington Dog License #1, free of charge, for 2024-25.
To participate:
• Send a 4 x 6 photo of your dog to the clerk’s office by June 14 (Farmington Town Clerk, 1 Monteith Drive, Farmington, CT 06032).
• Write your name, address, phone number, and your dog’s name on the backside of the photo.
• Your dog must be currently licensed with proof of rabies vaccine, or under 6 months of age.
