Bear Killed After Being Struck By Car In Granby
The accident occurred on Friday, according to state officials.
GRANBY, CT — A bear was killed after being struck by a car in Granby on Friday afternoon, according to state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection spokesman Will Healey.
Healey said the DEEP Wildlife Division staff picked up a deceased bear that was hit by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Route 20 and Higley Road in Granby. The bear weighed about 170 pounds.
No other details have been released.
