GRANBY, CT — A bear was killed after being struck by a car in Granby on Friday afternoon, according to state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection spokesman Will Healey.Healey said the DEEP Wildlife Division staff picked up a deceased bear that was hit by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Route 20 and Higley Road in Granby. The bear weighed about 170 pounds.No other details have been released. We'll update this story once there is additional information.
