Granby Center Planning Study To Be Presented Wednesday, Officials Say
The committee is charged with studying Granby Center and engaging the public to help shape a vision for the area, officials say.
GRANBY, CT — A planning study aimed at shaping the future of Granby Center will be presented to the public on Wednesday, according to information posted on the town’s website.
The presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Granby Senior Center. Residents can attend in person, via Zoom, or watch a recorded version on GCTV.
It was developed over the past year by the Granby Center Advisory Committee in partnership with consulting firm BFJ Planning. Its goal is to create a framework for a connected, healthy, vibrant, and resilient town center that supports businesses, residents, and visitors, while aligning with Granby’s Plan of Conservation and Development.

Officials said the presentation was initially scheduled for November 19th, but was postponed.
The Granby Center Advisory Committee consists of five members appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The committee is charged with studying Granby Center, engaging the public to help shape a vision for the area, and developing recommendations for consideration by the Board of Selectmen and/or the Planning and Zoning Commission.

It's chaired by Mark Fiorentino, with Meg Jabaily serving as vice chair. Other members include Eric Myers, John Oates, and Martin Schwager.
