On Campus: Great Achievements By College Students From The Granbys

American International College, Springfield MA

• Gavin McConnell of East Granby has graduated from American International College (AIC) as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. On Sunday, May 4, the college conferred degrees to graduates in the Class of 2025, receiving bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees from its School of Health Sciences, School of Education, and School of Business, Arts, and Sciences.

Elms College, Chicopee MA

• Declan Lynch, of Granby, was named to the College of Our Lady of the Elms spring 2025 Dean's List. Lynch was among more than 450 students named to the list.

Emerson College, Boston MA

• Tomas Lorenzo Macasaet of Granby earned Dean's List honors for the spring semester at Emerson College. Macasaet is majoring in media arts production and is a member of the Class of 2025. The requirement to make the Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.

Endicott College, Beverly MA

• Abigail Case, Anna Montoney and Taylor Popella, all of East Granby, made the spring Dean's List. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no grade below a "C," have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.

Hamilton College, Clinton NY

• Zachary Orluk, of West Granby received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College on Sunday, May 25, in a commencement ceremony concluding the college's 2024-25 academic year.
  Orluk, a biology major, graduated with departmental honors in biology.

Nichols College, Dudley MA

• William Migliaccio of West Granby has achieved President's List honors for the spring 2025 semester at Nichols College. President's List recognizes those students who achieve high grades during a single semester. Students whose semester grade point average is 3.85 or higher for at least 12 undergraduate credit-hours and no grades below B- will receive President's List honors.

University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport CT

• Sara Moore, of East Granby, was named to the University of Bridgeport's spring 2025 President's List. To be named to the President's List, a student must maintain a term grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

University of Connecticut, Storrs CT

• A number of students from the Granbys recently were awarded degrees from the University of Connecticut. From East Granby: Connor Anthony, Christian Barry, Julia Broome, Steven Chen, Austin Gelinas, Emma Griffin, Sean Griffin, Gregory Logan, Christopher Lorigan, Tyler Nardi, Michael Santos, Maryla Siebiedzinska and Julia Swanson. From Granby: Samuel Askew, Ashley Bristol, Ashley Coon, Charlotte Jenkins, Allison Kalva, Alexia McKone, Mark McWhirter and Sophie Zacchera.

University of Maryland Global Campus, Adelphi MD

• Zachary Ziemnicki of Granby was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2025 term at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.
