On Campus: Great Achievements By College Students From The Granbys

GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Central Connecticut State University, New Britain CT

• A number of local students made the spring 2025 Dean's List at CCSU. They are Teresa Galloway, Adrienne Henry and Jason Ho, all of East Granby, and Matthew Boock, Anthony Canellas, Ty De los Reyes, Mackenzie Garceau, Isabella Krumm, Nina Nolan, Everett Paine and Glenn Veahman, all of Granby.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Two residents of Granby were among more than 800 Eastern Connecticut State University students who received undergraduate and graduate-level degrees in the 2024-25 academic year, which culminated this past May with two commencement ceremonies at the conclusion of the spring 2025 semester. Sydney Wichmann received a Master of Science degree in special education, and Grady Kelly received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.

Nazareth University, Rochester NY

• Jasmine Ritter of East Granby graduated Summa Cum Laude from Nazareth University with a Bachelor of Music degree in music performance with a minor in jazz during the 98th commencement ceremony on campus at the Golisano Training Center on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Grace Lemoine, of Granby graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication & media studies in May as part of the Class of 2025.
• A half-dozen students who reside in the Granbys made the spring 2025 Dean's List. They are William Burke, Holly Grenier, Benjamin Lakomy and Patrick Lakomy, all of East Granby, and Megan Casavant and Grace Lemoine, both of Granby. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Tufts University, Medford MA

• Tyler Mackowski, Class of 2025 of Granby, was named to the dean's list at Tufts University for the spring 2025 semester. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

University of Tampa, Tampa FL

• Michaella Esquivel, of Granby, earned dean's list honors at the University of Tampa as a sophomore in the spring 2025 semester. Esquivel is majoring in nursing. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.
