On Campus: Great Achievements By College Students From The Granbys

Clark University, Worcester MA

• Kevin G. Davis, of Granby, was named to first honors on the Clark University Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2025 semester. Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Goodwin University, East Hartford CT

• Granby resident Joshua Hall earned a spot on the Goodwin University President's List for spring 2025. Inclusion on the President's List requires a student to earn a 4.0 GPA during a given academic session.
• Vanessa Hernandez of Granby has earned a spot on Goodwin University's Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify.

Missouri State University, Springfield MO

• Missouri State University awarded 2,824 degrees to students in spring 2025. Commencement ceremonies took place May 9, 2025, at Great Southern Bank Arena. Christina Janssen of Granby graduated with a Master of Science degree in education, literacy.

University of Maryland Global Campus, Adelphi MD

• Zachary Ziemnicki of Granby earned a Bachelor of Science Summa Cum Laude degree in cybersecurity technology, and also made the President's List at the University of Maryland Global Campus in spring 2025. To qualify for the prestigious President's List at UMGC, students must have graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 4.0. Ziemnicki was one of 6,770 students worldwide who earned degrees from UMGC in the spring 2025 term.

York College of Pennsylvania, York PA

• More than 1,300 York College students made the Dean's List in the spring 2025 semester, including Alessandro Daniele of Granby. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.
