On Campus: Great Achievements By College Students From The Granbys

Here are some more outstanding recent milestones accomplished by college students hailing from Granby and East Granby.

GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

  • The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 3,500 of its newest alumni during its 2025 commencement. Nearly 3,600 undergraduate degrees and 600 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during the ceremonies, which took place May 16-18, 2025. Ethan Lakomy of East Granby graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. Alynne Gallion of Granby graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. Delilah Strong of East Granby graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in public health.

University of Tampa, Tampa FL

  • Michaella Esquivel, of Granby, earned dean's list honors at University of Tampa as a sophomore in the spring 2025 semester. Esquivel is majoring in nursing. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

  • Nathan Griswold of Granby has been named to the President's List for the spring 2025 semester. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.
  • Cameron Gravlin, Nathan Griswold and Kyle Pavlik, all of Granby, and Jonathan Pedraza of East Granby were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester.
