On Campus: Milestones By College Students From Granby And East Granby

GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Hamilton College, Clinton NY

• Alana King of Granby was among the Hamilton College athletes earning national recognition for their academic achievements in 2023-24. King, a member of the field hockey and women's lacrosse teams, was named to the 2023 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad and to the 2024 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Academic Honor Roll. King earned this honor for the fourth time and was recognized as a perennial honoree. The IWCLA honor roll is open to juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better. King, a May graduate, majored in psychology at Hamilton.

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester NH

• Five local students were named to the summer 2024 President's List. They are Veronica Felie, Keith Wilson and Khadene Stoby, all of Granby, and Caitlin Lally and Anna Moody, both of East Granby. The summer terms run from May to August. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

University of Maryland Global Campus, Adelphi MD

• Zachary Ziemnicki of Granby was named to the Dean's List for the summer 2024 term at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.
