Visit Salmon Brook Park and Celebrate Granby Today
The big event at Salmon Brook Park opens at 11 a.m. It features local businesses, food vendors, a kids' tent and the carnival.
After a big opening evening, Celebrate Granby offers its second and final day of fun beginning at 11 a.m. in Salmon Brook Park today.
Local and area businesses will be on hand in informational and promotional booths until 6 p.m., as will the craft tent with local artists and the classic car show. Local food and carnival rides are available until 9 p.m.
The event's two new tents are both worth checking out. The kids' tent is packed full of events including story telling, magic shows, pony rides and face painting. The craft tent features local artisans who don't have store front spaces in the area, allowing a look at craft and crafters you may not regularly see.

1. Admission is free, but food and carnival tickets do cost money. Bring some cash and remember the Granby Chamber of Commerce is offering discounts on the $1 tickets (the chamber also accepts Visa and Mastercard at its ticket booths): 22 tickets for $20, 40 tickets for $35.
2. There's much more than ever before at this year's Celebrate Granby, so give yourself some extra time to take it all in. Between the car show, craft and kids' tents, business booths and carnival, there's plenty to do.
3. The event benefits the Granby Chamber of Commerce's scholarship fund, so your money is going to a good cause.
4. At last count, there were about eight different local food vendors signed up for the event, and they're all prepared for a big turnout. Unless you can't wait, get your lunch or dinner at the event.
5. There are more than 60 local and area businesses setting up tents tomorrow. You can visit The Granbys Patch at the booth we're sharing with Free Lunch Studios.
