Why are you seeking this office?
After completing my military career, I felt a call to continue to serve.
What do you believe is the No. 1 issue facing Connecticut, and how do you plan to address it?
Lack of affordability. We need to promote the growth of the economy, not the growth of government. This means taxpayers not state employees come first, rather than last. Businesses can thrive when we reduce regulations and taxes.
There have been an alarming number of deaths on Connecticut's roadways. Is there anything from a legislative standpoint that can be done to address that?
Police need the backing of their chain of command and the judiciary, but current laws seem adequate.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I favor limiting the size and power of government and protecting the hard-earned income of individuals and businesses.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
In my first two terms I have consistently stood up for individual liberty, economic freedom, limited government and local control.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
In 2024, I made the stewardship of the Wild and Scenic Upper Farmington River my number one priority. HB 5355, which I co-introduced, was passed unanimously and signed into law by the Governor. Users of the river attest that the legislation has resulted in the best regulated flow in five years. Users of the river, the businesses along it, and aquatic life are all winners.
