Granby, East Granby Public Schools Will Be Closed

Both Granby and East Granby public schools will be closed again on Tuesday, March 19.

A storm that swept through Monday night dropped enough snow to create hazardous conditions on the roads, and the precipitation will continue until early Tuesday afternoon.

"Rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 2 p.m., then rain likely, possibly mixed with snow. High near 37. North wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible," the National Weather Service reports.

Light snow showers are likely to fall on Wednesday, the first day of spring, as well.
