Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• This summer, 21 students from the Department of English at Eastern Connecticut State University traveled to Florence, Italy for six weeks. The annual trip is part of English Professor Christopher Torockio's creative writing abroad course. Among the students was Chelsea Newton of Granby, a junior who majors in pre-early childhood education and English.

• Jenna Salinardi from Granby has been named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.
