Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree In East Granby, ID Released By State Police

A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash, officials said.

EAST GRANBY, CT — A 75-year-old Bloomfield man was killed in a single-vehicle crash, state police said.

At 2:53 p.m. Sunday, a 2018 Infiniti was traveling northbound in the northbound lane of Route 187, or South Main Street, north of Spoonville Road.

The vehicle left the road onto the grass shoulder on the east side of RT. 187 and continued down a slight embankment, state police said.

The driver side door made contact with a tree, state police said. Alan D. Rosenthal, of Pond Road, was found unresponsive in the driver seat.

He was extricated from the car and taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
