Curry College, Milton MA
- Curry College congratulates Audrey Bennett of Granby, who was named to the spring 2024 Dean's List.

- Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester, in which more than 1,200 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs.
Among the students were Logan French of East Granby, a senior majoring in economics; Kevian Curtis of East Granby, a sophomore majoring in nursing; Aidan Hennessy of Granby, a senior majoring in computer science; and Grady Kelly of Granby, a senior majoring in business administration. To qualify for Dean's List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester.
Emerson College, Boston MA
- Two local students were named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the Spring 2024 semester. Sabrina Porter of East Granby is majoring in communication disorders and is a member of the Class of 2024. Tomas Lorenzo Macasaet of Granby is majoring in media arts production and is a member of the Class of 2025. The requirement to make Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.

- Elijah Holt of Granby earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering on May 18, 2024. A 2020 graduate of Granby Memorial High School, Holt was also named to the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.
Hamilton College, Clinton NY
- Alana King of Granby was recently named to the 2024 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) spring All-Academic Team for women's lacrosse. The recognition honors sophomores, juniors and seniors who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. King received a Bachelor of Arts degree on Sunday, May 19, in a commencement ceremony concluding the college's 212th year. She majored in psychology.
James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA
- East Granby resident Julia Redfield has been named to the President's List at James Madison University for the spring 2024 semester. Students who earn President's List honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above. Redfield is majoring in communication sciences & disorders.
Nazareth University, Rochester NY
- Nazareth University is proud to announce that Jasmine Ritter of East Granby has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2024 semester. A student's grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean's list at Nazareth.
University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI
- The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the spring 2024 Dean's List. Honorees include Nick DeFranzo and Delilah Strong, both of East Granby, and Kyle Kadis, Alynne Gallion, Julia McHugh and Frances Caley, all of Granby. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.
Western New England University, Springfield MA
- Western New England University held its College of Engineering Senior Awards Ceremony on May 18 in the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. Emily Kowal of East Granby received the Biomedical Engineering Outstanding Senior Award and the Marston Engineering Award. The Biomedical Engineering Outstanding Senior Award is presented to a senior biomedical engineering student who has demonstrated academic success with an outstanding grade point average and has demonstrated professionalism in their studies. Students must have achieved a minimum of a 3.30 grade point average and have at least 60 Western New England University credits. The Marston Engineering Award is given to an engineering student who has demonstrated an understanding of applying engineering principles in professional practice. This recipient is required to have an academic average in the upper quarter of their class and must have participated in extracurricular activities and demonstrated leadership ability. Kowal is working toward a BSE in biomedical engineering.
