[New Photos] Emergency Personnel Rescue Dog At Enders State Forest In Granby
The Lost Acres Fire Department rescued a pet dog that fell onto a small ledge in Granby's Enders State Forest.
Granby emergency services responded to Enders State Forest late Thursday afternoon after a report of a dog in distress in the forest.
The dog, a Doberman, jumped off a path and fell onto a small ledge in the gorge, about 10 feet above one of the park's bodies of water. After a rescue attempt by one of the people with the dog was unsuccessful, Granby emergency services personnel were called.
The dog was rescued by members of the Lost Acres Fire Department, according to Lost Acres Chief Wayne Bindas. The department sent two crews down to the ledge by rope, wearing harnesses. The crews then brought the dog back up.

"The Lost Acres Fire Department did a great job," Bindas said, noting that everyone on the scene worked well together.
