Shining Stars On Campus: Feats By College Students From The Granbys

GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Bryant University, Smithfield RI

• Spencer Bennett and Rachel Hennessy, both of Granby, have been named to the fall 2023 President's List. The President's List is an academic distinction reserved for Bryant's highest achievers who earn a GPA of 4.0 for at least 12 semester hours of work.
• Bryant University is pleased to recognize the eight local students named to the fall 2023 Deans' List. They are Spencer Bennett, Rachel Hennessy, Timothy Jennings, Alexis Klein, Colby Milbrandt and William Sullivan, all of Granby, and Sarah Lostowski and Kathryn Patrizzi, both of East Granby. To earn a place on the Deans' List, students must have a GPA of 3.4 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

• Two local students were named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the fall semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. They are Jonathan Ciottone of East Granby, who is in the game design and development program, and Aria Kingsley of West Granby, who is in the studio arts program. Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Tufts University, Medford MA

• Tyler Mackowski, Class of 2025, of Granby, was named to the dean's list at Tufts University for the fall 2023 semester. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

University of Saint Joseph, West Hartford CT

• University of Saint Joseph undergraduate students who earned their way to the Dean's List for the fall 2023 semester include Samantha Barnard, Riley Shelansky and Jacqueline Thibodeau, all of Granby, and East Granby residents Rachel Bittner and Jordan Kido. Students were awarded this academic achievement for having earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than a "B."
