GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Hamilton College, Clinton NY

  • Zachary Orluk of West Granby has been named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College for the 2023 fall semester. Orluk, a junior majoring in biology, is a graduate of Granby Memorial High School. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must have carried a course load of four or more graded credits throughout the semester and earned an average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

  • The University of Hartford congratulates the four local students who have been named to the President's List for fall 2023. They are Morgan Egan of East Granby, Shane Gove of West Granby, William Pitney of East Granby and Grace Yoder of Granby. The President's List is made up of an extremely select group of students who earned a grade point average of 3.75 or higher in the semester.
  • Ten students from the Granbys earned spots on the fall 2023 Dean's List. They are Kayla Tran, David Cox, Jearlin Cabrera, Megan Benner, William Pitney, Tara Martin and Morgan Egan, all of East Granby; Grace Yoder and Kyle Lavitt, both of Granby; and Shane Gove of West Granby.

York College of Pennsylvania, York PA

  • Alessandro Daniele of Granby, a sport management major and member of the Class of 2026 at York College of Pennsylvania, has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2023 semester.
