2 Dogs Dead In Granby Home Fire
A fire Wednesday morning closed a road in Granby and led to the death of two dogs.
GRANBY, CT — Route 10 in Granby was closed Wednesday morning from Route 20 to Mechanicsville Road for a structure fire in the 300 block of Salmon Brook Street. No injuries were reported, according to police.
The fire was in a single family home on Route 10. A passing driver who noticed smoke coming from the windows reported the blaze at 8:15 a.m.
The residents were not home at the time. However, police said two dogs died in the fire.

The road has since reopened. The fire marshal is investigating.
