Truck Collides With Pole In East Granby, Disrupts Power And Traffic
A segment of a busy roadway is closed as emergency personnel work to assess and repair the damage, according to fire officials.

EAST GRANBY, CT — A truck collided with a utility pole at the intersection of Seymour Road and Route 187 early Thursday afternoon, causing some power failures and closing the roadway for what fire officials termed "an extended period of time."
Poles containing power lines were knocked down as a result of the crash. Fire officials have asked motorists to avoid the area, and issued a reminder that, by law, inoperable traffic lights are to be treated as a 4-way stop.
At 12:50 p.m., Eversource Energy reported 236 customers were without power in East Granby.
