1 Killed After Car Strikes Multiple Trees In Greenwich: State Police
One person was killed after the vehicle "veered off the right side of the highway" and ended up striking multiple trees, police said.
GREENWICH, CT — One person was killed in a crash on Interstate I-684 in Greenwich Friday evening, according to state police.
At 6:19 p.m., a 2005 Cadillac Escalade was traveling on I-684 southbound, prior to Exit #2 in Greenwich.
"For unknown reasons, Vehicle #1 veered off the right side of the highway through the grassy roadside and into the wooded area, where it struck multiple trees," state police said in a news release. "The operator was transported by Armonk EMS to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

"The passenger who remains unidentified at this time sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the accident scene," state police said.
The Escalade was towed from the scene by Post Road Auto Body. The driver of the Escalade is a Port Chester resident.
