Annual Community Photo Contest Launched In Greenwich

2025 marks the fifth time the Parks and Recreation Department has organized the contest.

GREENWICH, CT — The 5th Annual Community Photo Contest launched Tuesday in Greenwich, and will run to July 31.

Sponsored by the town's Department of Parks and Recreation, the contest is a celebration of National Parks and Recreation Month, "For the Love of Parks and Recreation." The winners to be announced in early August.

"We continue to be inspired by the way our residents and visitors enjoy and appreciate our parks," said Parks and Recreation Director Joseph Siciliano in a statement. "This contest offers a creative way for the community to celebrate and highlight the beauty, spirit, and value of public recreation in Greenwich."

From the Parks and Recreation Department announcement:

This annual event invites community members to showcase their photographic talents by submitting up to four high-resolution images that capture what they love most about Greenwich’s parks, programs, and recreational spaces. Submissions must be taken in Greenwich, CT, and feature Parks and Recreation facilities, programs, or events. While participants do not need to be Greenwich residents, all photos must be original, unfiltered, and appropriate.

Photo Contest Guidelines:
  • Open to amateur photographers age 18+.
  • Parents/guardians may submit entries on behalf of minors under 18.
  • Photos must be taken in Greenwich and highlight Parks and Recreation spaces or programming.
  • Submit online at http://www.greenwichct.gov/photocontest by Thursday, July 31, 2025.
  • Entries must be high-resolution, unfiltered images.
Prizes:
  • 1st Place: Foursome Golf Certificate for The Griff (2025 season)
  • 2nd Place: Five Single-Entry Park Passes + One Single-Entry Parking Pass (2025 season)
  • 3rd Place: Parks & Recreation Gift Basket
