GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Green & Clean will host its annual International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to noon at Greenwich Point.

The event, part of a global effort to remove trash from waterways, invites volunteers to collect non-biodegradable debris from the shoreline. The collected waste will be tallied and reported to Save the Sound, which will submit the data to the Ocean Conservancy for global analysis on pollution.

Pre-registration is encouraged through the Greenwich Green & Clean website, though walk-ins are welcome. Check-in will take place at tables in the parking lot across from the first concession stand. No beach passes are required for participants.
