Assault, Reckless Endangerment Charges Lodged Against Greenwich Woman

The suspect is accused of trying to push a passenger from a moving vehicle and then kicking the victim, slapping relative who intervened.

A variety of assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct charges were lodged against a Greenwich woman in connection with an incident that started in Greenwich and ended in Stamford when the suspect was caught by police there.

The 33-year-old woman is accused of arguing with a passenger in her car and trying to push the woman from the vehicle as she drove on Wednesday afternoon, according to a Greenwich Police report.

When the victim was pushed partially out of the vehicle, she hit her face on a cement sidewalk before being able to sit back into the vehicle, according to the report. The suspect is accused of continuing the argument as she drove from Stamford to Greenwich, pushing the victim’s face into the dashboard several times, according to the report.

After arriving at the victim’s home, the victim ran from the car and with suspect chasing her and catching up to her in the driveway and pushing her to the ground, according to the report. The victim struck her face on the ground and the suspect is then accused of kicking the victim’s face several times.

An elderly family member of the victim tried to intercede and was slapped in the face by the suspect, according to the police report. When the elderly relative then ran into the house to call 9-1-1, the suspect followed and pulled the phone out of the wall and slapped the relative again, according to the police report.

The suspect then left and drove to Stamford where Stamford Police located her, according to the report.

Keri Lynne Devlin, of 17 Circle Extension Dr., Greenwich, was arrested by Greenwich Police on charges of second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, assault on a victim over 60, second-degree unlawful restraint, interfering with a 911 call, disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief, according to the police report.

Devlin was held in lieu of $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 19 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Stamford Police also arrested Devlin. Details on those charges were not immediately available.
