Robin’s reporting on community events in both print (she is editorial director and publisher Of Old Greenwich & Riverside neighbors magazine) is always positive. She seems to be everywhere every place all of the time whether it’s a Pearl Harbor event at the World War I monument interviewing, chief of police James Heavey or photographing and interviewing volunteers everywhere from Southern Greenwich near Portchester to Northern Greenwich near Stamford - her content and broadcast are always positive.

“I feel happier after reading her articles and hearing her broadcasts, like I just sat down with the neighbors or met a new friend through her broadcast or a magazine article, which are often uploaded on Greenwich Patch and published by other media outlets as well, including Greenwich, Free Press, the Sentinel & Greenwich Time. She never has a negative word. Everything is positive and presents our community and our residents’ stories in the best possible light: sharing their stories. She’s also shared her life journey at Greenwich Historical Society’s story barn. She volunteers throughout our community to help people who need support. We are lucky. She lives in our community and raised her three children here," Stix said.

What would you like everyone in town to know about your nominee?

Robin is a Greenwich mom who’s reporting in print and broadcast and digital media present residents and shares their stories, often giving students a voice and venue to write and share what matters to them. She’s a dedicated volunteer in our community for decades. Her reporting and writing are always positive. She doesn’t have a negative word about any soul, and supports adults and kids whose passion for music, sports, their business (she’s featured several entrepreneurial students whose businesses were founded while in middle, high school or college). Her energy and words are always positive.

If you could tell them one thing, what would it be?

Keep up the excellent articles, positivity and volunteerism: advocating for and supporting, unique learners, kids in crisis (KIC), our public and private schools - and many nonprofits in our community - all while publishing a monthly magazine, broadcasting positive news and interviews on WGCH for a decade, and writing books and articles that earn National & CT Press Club awards annually. Kind to all, Robin is a gem in our community.

What’s something you love most about your town or community?

I love the accessibility of our elected officials the open and honest dialogue residents share at events at Greenwich Library or other venues. Our community is unusually energetic, vocal and caring.
