Assault, Resisting Arrest Charges Lodged Against Greenwich Teen
Police say they found the victim when they checked out a 9-1-1 hang up call.
A Greenwich teen is facing a variety of charges including third-degree assault and interfering with an officer following a Sunday afternoon dispute.
Greenwich Police said in a report that officers found a victim of an assault when they checked out a 9-1-1 hang up call shortly after 5 p.m. Jan. 3. Police wrote in their report the suspect “would not cooperate with officers and subsequently resisted arrest.”
Police said they found a green leafy substance and marijuana paraphernalia “in the area that offender had been.”

Philip D. Maldonado, 18, of 1 Morgan Ave., also was charged with disorderly conduct, possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Maldonado was released after posting a $2,500 bond and was assigned a Jan. 4 court date.
