Back To School: Greenwich 2025-26 School Calendar

GREENWICH, CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Greenwich, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Greenwich Public Schools for the 2025-26 school year.

The first day of school for students in Greenwich is Friday, Aug. 29.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

• Yom Kippur: Oct. 2 - Schools Closed
• Columbus Day: Oct. 13 - Schools Open
• Teacher Professional Learning Day: Oct. 22 - Early Release
• Election Day: Nov. 4 - Schools Closed
• Veterans Day: Nov. 11 - Schools Open
• Professional Learning: Nov. 18 - Early Release
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 26 (early release) Nov. 27-28 (closed)
• Elementary Conferences: Dec. 1-2 - Early Release. Dec. 4 (evening)
