Body of Missing Fairfield Nursing Home Patient is Found

The man, who was recuperating from surgery at a nursing home, had been missing since Nov. 1.

A 60-year-old Greenwich man, who went missing from a Fairfield nursing home on Nov. 1, was found dead Tuesday morning in a wooded area next to the facility.

Police are continuing their investigation into the death although foul play is not suspected, according to Greenwich Time.

Fairfield Police said they had information that the man was seen in Bridgeport and that his bank card had been used while he was missing, according to the report.

The man, whose identity is not being released pending notification of relatives, was reported missing about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 1. The man, who was admitted to the Fairview of Fairfield nursing home on Mill Hill Road while recovering from surgery, was missing for an hour before police were contacted, according to the Greenwich Time report that can be found here.
