Click It or Ticket Campaign in Greenwich

Police will be concentrating their efforts this week as part of the national campaign to enforce seatbelt laws.

The national Click‐It or Ticket enforcement program officially begins Nov. 23, but that hasn’t stopped Greenwich Police from stepping up enforcement this month.

Greenwich officers began the campaign earlier this month. However, ticket enforcement will be even more prevalent beginning this week and continuing until Nov. 30.

Police said in a statement, “We are partnering with law enforcement agencies from across the country in a coordinated effort to enforce seatbelt laws from coast to coast.

The fine for not wearing a seat belt: $92.
