Coldest Temps of the Year Before Thanksgiving Warm Up

It had to get here finally, right? Mother Nature finally realized we’re almost into December and this morning temps are beginning to reflect that fact.

We’ve been largely in a pattern of enjoying 50-degree plus weather and sunshine for most of November but when we woke up today temps were much colder and they won’t increase much on Monday.

On Monday, plenty of sunshine with temps topping out in the low 40s and temperatures plunge into the low to mid 20s for the entire state with patchy frost predicted, the National Weather Service states.

On Tuesday, more sunshine with temps in the low 40s in northern Connecticut and in the mid 40s for southern Connecticut.

At night temps are below freezing for the state with some upper 20s possible too.

On Wednesday, temps begin to increase slightly into the upper 40s and temps only fall back into the mid to upper 30s at night.

Thanksgiving Day’s forecast is amazing, partly sunny skies with temps in the upper 50s. A pretty much perfect forecast for the day.

And to not be outdone, on Black Friday when people will be out and about shopping, temps will hit 60 in Connecticut and of course more sunshine is forecast.

Wintry weather around the bend?

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan posts on social media that “Our computer models are beginning to hint at some interesting storminess around 12/1. There’s a chance we get something wintry out of it. Of course, all caveats apply to a 9 day forecast but the background pattern will support something interesting.”
