'Conjurer to the Stars' Emcee's Greenwich Fundraiser for Program Benefitting Low-Income Kids

Illusionist, magician and mentalist Ryan Oakes emcees the Feb. 28 fundraiser for a program benefitting low-income kids in the area.

The Horizons Student Enrichment Program at New Canaan Country School will hold its biennial benefit on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Greenwich Hyatt beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The event is titled “Spotlight on Success” and will feature first-hand success stories of generations of Horizons students and graduates.

New Canaan Country School alumnus Ryan Oakes ’93 “Conjurer to the Stars” will emcee the event. Oakes is a world-renowned illusionist, magician and mentalist and has been called the “hottest magician working today” by Forbes. The Dartmouth Rockapellas will provide additional entertainment.

Horizons at NCCS is an outreach program that benefits low-income, public school children primarily from Stamford and Norwalk. Since its origination at NCCS more than 50 years ago, Horizons has been replicated into a network of 40 affiliate programs across the country.
