Police said the Department of Public Works is set to resume construction of ADA-accessibility improvements on Greenwich Avenue this week.

GREENWICH, CT — The Department of Public Works is set to resume construction of ADA-accessibility improvements on Greenwich Avenue this week, according to police.
In a Facebook post, police said construction work is scheduled to start Wednesday at the intersection of Greenwich Avenue and US Route 1 (West Putnam Avenue), then progress down Greenwich Avenue.

Construction is expected to be completed in the fall, police said.
According to police, this ongoing project aims to enhance accessibility along Greenwich Avenue by upgrading curb ramps to meet ADA standards.

"To implement the proposed layouts, some areas will require additional drainage and utility modifications," police said on Facebook. "DPW Highway Division has been replacing sidewalk segments between intersections, with many sections completed in 2024."
