CT-Based Boutique Medical Spa Proposed In Greenwich: P&Z Docs

The business is seeking a special permit to open its second CT location in Greenwich, according to documents on file with the town.

GREENWICH, CT — Fuse Medspa and Wellness, an Avon-based business that offers a variety of aesthetic and wellness services, is looking to open a location in Greenwich, according to documents recently filed with Greenwich Planning & Zoning.

The business is seeking a special permit to open at 23 Maple Ave. The space was previously occupied by Greenwich Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, which moved to 4 Dearfield Drive.

The pre-application process allows for a non-binding discussion with the commission about the pros and cons of a proposal before a substantial investment is made in developing plans, reports and studies.

Services fall under three categories: aesthetic medicine, esthetician skincare and wellness.

Co-owner Andrew Romeo said in submitted documents to the town that there would be no changes regarding traffic or parking, and no construction or changes to the exterior or interior of the building, except for cosmetic upgrades like painting and the installation of new bathroom fixtures.

Romeo opened Fuse Medspa and Wellness with co-owner Kristin Gemme in Avon at 51 E. Main St. in May 2023.

According to his bio, Romeo has worked in the human performance and fitness industry for the past two decades, and founded Romeo Athletics in 2009 in Enfield.

Gemme is a physician assistant with over 12 years of experience, and also has several years of experience in internal medicine, urgent care, surgical trauma critical care and aesthetic medicine, her bio says.

The staff at the Avon location includes a licensed esthetician, acupuncturist, medical doctor, nurse and physician assistants.

Coleman Business Holdings LLC owns the property at 23 Maple Ave., submitted documents note.

The application has yet to go before the Greenwich Planning & Zoning Commission.
