According to a preliminary investigation, state police said Haskel, who was driving a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek in the left lane, crossed partly into the center lane and struck the rear driver side corner of a 2024 Porsche Macan.
The Subaru spun clockwise perpendicular to the roadway and rolled onto the rear portion of a 2018 Mazda 3, which was in the left lane just ahead of the Subaru approximately 100 feet south of the exit 3 entrance ramp to Field Point Road, state police said.

State police noted the Subaru slid along the roadway on its driver side body and came to an "uncontrolled rest" in the left lane still on its side.
Haskel was taken by ambulance to Greenwich Hospital where she was later pronounced dead, state police said. The drivers of the other two vehicles were uninjured.
The crash closed a section of I-95 southbound between exits 2 and 3 for several hours Monday night as state police conducted an investigation. The roadway reopened shortly before 11 p.m.
An investigation remains active, state police said. Any witnesses to the crash are being asked to contact Trooper Daniel Sottini #361 via email at Daniel.Sottini@ct.gov.
