Details Announced For Puttin' On The Dog Event In Greenwich
The family-friendly event celebrates the deep bond between humans and dogs while raising awareness and support for animal rescue.
GREENWICH, CT — Adopt-A-Dog Inc., a leading nonprofit organization whose mission is to save, socialize, and secure loving homes for unwanted or abandoned dogs, has announced their upcoming event, "Puttin' On The Dog," will take place on Sunday, Sept. 22 at Greenwich's Roger Sherman Baldwin Park from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The family-friendly event celebrates the deep bond between humans and dogs while raising awareness and support for animal rescue. This year's festivities promise to offer a day of fun-filled activities for visitors of all ages and heartfelt moments that are bound to leave a lasting impact on all attendees.
Pet Pantry Warehouse, a beloved business in the community, will be receiving a very special Humanitarian Award at noon during the event, acknowledging their outstanding contributions to the well-being and welfare of countless animals in need.

This year marks the 36th anniversary of Adopt-A-Dog's commitment to animals.
"We're absolutely thrilled to be gearing up for yet another remarkable Puttin' On The Dog event,” said Adopt-A-Dog Executive Director Christine Amato in a news release. "We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Pet Pantry Warehouse for their invaluable partnership, support, and dedication to animal welfare over the years. Pet Pantry has helped tremendously with our mission to save lives, and it's with great pleasure that we honor this family-owned business with the prestigious Humanitarian Award."

Adam Jacobson, the executive vice president at Pet Pantry Warehouse, said it's an "honor" to be recognized for their support of Adopt-A-Dog over the years.
"Giving back to organizations in need is a way we’re able to set an example for what it means to be part of a community," Jacobson said in a news release. "Giving is contagious and it has allowed us to add meaningful purpose to our work. Look for our signature family activity stations throughout the event this year, including a Snifari, Bone Bar, and non-alcoholic beer garden for dogs."
