Fertilizer Executive Purchases Several Retail Buildings In Greenwich: Report

Several buildings in Greenwich were recently sold to a fertilizer executive, according to a media report.

GREENWICH, CT — Four buildings on North Water Street in the Byram section of Greenwich have been purchased by a fertilizer executive for a total of $9 million, according to the Hartford Business Journal.

Greenport Corners LLC purchased 6 N. Water St. for $2.5 million, 10 and 13 N. Water St. for $2.4 million each, and 14 N. Water St. for $1.7 million, Hartford Business Journal reported

The property at 6 N. Water St. features a laundry business as well as a check cashing kiosk.

10 N. Water St. previously housed Famous Greek Kitchen, and 13 N. Water St. was once home to Greenview Pharmacy.

14 N. Water St. is a multi-family home.

Greenport Corners LLC is based in Greenwich and registered to Toros J. Magassarian of Rye, N.Y. The entity was formed in May, according to business records from the CT Secretary of State.

Mangassarian is the founder and chairman at Nitron Group, also based in Greenwich. The company specializes in fertilizer products, and says on its website it trades over 8 million metric tons per year around the world.
