The Granola Bar to Open in Greenwich
The Westport-based restaurant plans to open a Greenwich outpost in 2016; New menu to debut on Wednesday.
For Greenwich foodies with palates that are sated with healthy locally-sourced foods, there will be a new option to choose from come 2016.
The popular Westport-based The Granola Bar restaurant that offers modern, healthy twists on traditional dishes, will open a second location in Greenwich in early 2016.
The Granola Bar owners — Julie Levitt of Weston, and Dana Noorily of Westport — opened their location in Westport in 2013, and now plan to bring their locally sourced breakfast and lunch options to Greenwich residents and businesses at 41 Greenwich Ave.

The Granola Bar’s menu items include Toby’s Estate coffee and signature smoothies, and favorites such as avocado toast, house-cured salmon and freshly made salads.
“We look forward to sharing our modern and delicious dishes with Greenwich and neighboring communities,” Noorily said. “Using the best local and organic ingredients, we are committed to elevating breakfast and lunch, with healthy fresh options,” Levitt added.

The new 2,700-square-foot restaurant will offer extensive seating and a large take-out section. The Granola Bar will be open seven days a week, Mondays through Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Corporate and private party catering will also be available in the Greenwich location, as well as a daily coffee and baked goods delivery service to local businesses.
And in Westport, starting on Nov. 11, The Granola Bar will debut a new seasonal menu.
New sandwiches include The Bababooey, The Almond Chicken Club and The Yogi sandwiches. The Bababooey, named for famous Howard Stern executive producer and Greenwich resident Gary Dell’Abate, is roasted turkey breast, brie, mixed greens, cranberry aioli on multigrain panini.
New salads include The Modern Farmly and The Harvest Bowl. The Modern Farmly is massaged kale, local Fleisher’s sausage, goat cheese, blueberries, spiced pumpkin seeds with maple mustard dressing. The Harvest Bowl is wild rice, cranberries, feta, cashews, and walnuts with citrus vinaigrette. Make-your-own salads will have a new twist with specially curated toppings and recommended pairings.
The menu also will have all new house-made salad dressings, soups and starters. The Granola Bar is at 275 Post Rd. East.
