Greenwich Alliance for Education Seeks Grant Applications

The grants will fund new programs for the 2016-17 academic year in Greenwich Public Schools.

If you have an idea for an innovative program for Greenwich Public School students then the Greenwich Alliance for Education wants to hear from you.

The Alliance is accepting applications for its 10th annual grants program that will fund programs for the 2016-17 school year.

The Alliance is seeking proposals that are aligned with its mission and the Greenwich Public Schools Vision of the Graduate. This year, the Alliance is interested in funding programs that foster innovative teaching techniques or programs to raise student achievement.

Applications are due March 1, 2016.

In its 10 years, the Alliance has awarded $810,770 in grants for programs that have benefited Greenwich Public School students from pre-K to high school.

For the 2015-16 school year, a total of $97,070 in grants were given to the AVID program at Western Middle School; the Odyssey of the Mind programs at Parkway, Riverside, Julian Curtis and Cos Cob schools; the Dare 2 Care programs that focuses on bullying prevention; the Summer School Enrichment Program; the Cos Cob School Innovation Space and the Innovation Lab at Greenwich High School.
