Greenwich EMS To Bring Back 'Halloween Haunt' With Decorated Ambulance

The unique Halloween event from Greenwich Emergency Medical Service returns for 2025.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Emergency Medical Service will bring back its Halloween Haunt this year, sending a decorated ambulance and costumed staff into neighborhoods to hand out treats.

The 6th annual event will take place Oct. 17, 18, 24 and 25 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Residents can register online by choosing a date for the visit through the GEMS website.

"Our staff and Explorer Post members are excited to decorate an ambulance and distribute treats to the children of Greenwich," said Tracy Schietinger, GEMS executive director. "COVID was the catalyst for this event, but it was such a big hit, we decided to continue!"

A $15 fee per child is required to reserve a visit, with proceeds supporting the purchase of capital equipment to help GEMS maintain emergency medical services in Greenwich.
