Greenwich Hospital Earns Prestigious Accreditation For Behavioral Health Programs

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Hospital has received accreditation from The Joint Commission for its adult and adolescent intensive outpatient programs, recognizing the hospital’s adherence to national standards for behavioral health care.

The three-year accreditation follows a review process that included a 60-day Evidence of Standards Compliance period and an on-site survey by The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest health care accrediting body. The evaluation covered patient care, treatment planning, risk management and clinical quality.

Greenwich Hospital’s intensive outpatient programs offer short-term, structured treatment for adolescents and adults who continue to live at home, with an emphasis on individualized care, family involvement and coordination with schools and primary care providers.

With the distinction, Greenwich Hospital becomes the third delivery network within the Yale New Haven Health System — alongside Yale New Haven and Bridgeport hospitals — to earn the accreditation.
