Greenwich Library Presents Medicare Coverage Seminar
Lou Pelletier will be offering weekly blood pressure screenings and a seminar about Medicare on Mar. 30.

From The Greenwich Library: This month, Greenwich Library will present a seminar on Medicare coverage and laws with expert Lou Pelletier and will offer the department’s regular Monday blood pressure screenings.
The Greenwich Library Health Information Center provides privacy and access to resources and information on a variety of health related topics. The Center houses more than 100 reference books, 40 periodicals, four medical databases, a health-focused bulletin board and two dedicated printer-enabled workstations. A full-time Health Librarian, Sandra Chan, is available to help patrons utilize Library resources.

Are you turning 65 or just confused about Medicare? Medicare can be a confusing topic. This seminar will review available Medicare options and programs available. The first half of the discussion will cover Medicare Supplement Plans vs. Advantage Plans. The second half will cover the many laws and programs that may be relevant to your situation.
Presenter Lou Pelletier is a popular speaker on retirement and estate planning. He specializes in income planning for retirees with an emphasis on the transition from the asset accumulation and appreciation stage to the capital distribution stage of financial planning. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), Certified Retirement Distribution Specialist (CRDS) and a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).

Regular Health Programming and Other Programs of Interest
- Every Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (March 6, 13, 20 & 27) free blood pressure screenings are conducted by a registered nurse from Greenwich Hospital in the Health Information Center on the first floor. No appointment necessary.
- On Thursday, March 30 from 1-2 p.m., Cos Cob Library will host a lecture by Sally Scannell, RN on the topic of preventing falls and improving balance.
