Greenwich Man Charged with Failing to Appear in Court

The suspect is accused of not answering several motor vehicle charges including DWI.

A Greenwich man is facing a second-degree failure to appear in court charge in connection with a driving while intoxicated arrest from last year.

According to Greenwich Police, they served an arrest warrant on Jorge Cardenas-Rey, 26, of 7 Chestnut St., Greenwich, on Dec. 22.

Cardenas-Rey is accused of failing to appear in court on charges of driving while intoxicated, operating with a suspended license, failure to keep right on a curve, operating without a license and threatening. He originally was arrested March 22, 2014 following an incident on Railroad Avenue, according to a police report.

Cardenas-Rey’s bond was set at $15,000 and he was scheduled to appear Dec. 30 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
