Greenwich Mourns Death Of Former Selectman Frank Mazza

Frank Mazza was a longtime Greenwich resident and public servant in town.

GREENWICH, CT — The Town of Greenwich is mourning the loss of longtime resident and former Selectman Frank Mazza, who died on Feb. 7, a week shy of his 90th birthday.

According to his obituary from Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, Mazza graduated from Greenwich High School where he played football. He later attended the Military Cllege of Vermont, and went on to serve in the Army Corps of Engineers.

After his military career, Mazza worked a civil engineer and entered public service in Greenwich where he served on the Board of Estimate and Taxation and Board of Selectmen, his obituary said. Mazza was also chair of the Harbor Management Commission led the Glenville School Building Committee.

"Frank was a man of character and integrity who strived to stay involved and improve the town he called home his entire life," his obituary said. "He was a proud father and grandfather and a loyal friend. He will be missed dearly by all."

Services for Mazza will be private.
