Greenwich Police Investigate Theft of 2 Porsche SUVs
The vehicles were stolen overnight Wednesday.

Thieves with an apparent penchant for blue Porsche Macan Turbos literally made out like bandits Wednesday night in Old Greenwich.
Greenwich Police said they are investigating the two thefts that occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Dec. 30 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 31.
Both vehicles were left unlocked parked in the driveways of homes on North Street and Tod’s Driftway in Old Greenwich, police said. The keys were left inside both vehicles.

The thieves got away with a 2015 and a 2016 model of the Porsche SUV that, according to porsche.com, sell for about $76,000.
The town has been plagued with thefts of high-end SUVs this year. According to police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray, the latest thefts bring the total number of vehicles stolen this year to 44.

“They have put locks on cars for a long, long time. There’s a reason,” Gray said. “”Somebody might to steal it.”
