A Halloween DUI Charge for Greenwich Driver

Police say the driver was seen swerving and crossing a double-yellow line on West Putnam Avenue.

A driver who Greenwich Police say was seen swerving and crossing a double-yellow line on West Putnam Avenue early Halloween morning is facing a driving under the influence charge.

The driver was westbound on West Putnam Avenue near Brookside Drive about 3:12 a.m. Oct. 31 when an officer observed her swerving before crossing into the eastbound lane, according to a police report.

When police stopped the woman, they detected an odor of alcoholic beverages and asked her to take field sobriety tests.

Ludivine Baugier DeChevestre, 23, of 367 Riversville Rd., Greenwich, was arrested after failing the tests. She also was ticketed for failure to drive in proper lane.

Baugier DeChevestre was released from custody after posting a $250 bond and given a Nov. 9 date to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford.
