'He Leads With A Clear Mind And Full Heart': Greenwich Hero

GREENWICH, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Surgeon in Chief, Hospital For Special Surgery

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Bryan has worked tirelessly for the past eight weeks to help with the COVID-19 crisis, turning the Hospital for Special Surgery into an ICU to accept overflow patients from neighboring hospitals who could not accommodate the growing number of cases. He rallied the staff together to work as a team to provide the best possible care for these patients.

Being an Orthopaedic & Rheumatology hospital, these were conditions and situations that no one was familiar with. All staff stepped up and did their part under Bryan’s leadership. He worked 18 hour days, seven days a week, and stayed in New York City to be as close as he could be to assist and support during this unprecedented time.

He made difficult decisions and executed a successful mission to do their part during the pandemic.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Bryan is a hard worker. He leads with a clear mind and full heart. He truly cares about every single employee and would not let them feel alone or unsupported during this time.
