Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?

Dr. West has been taking care of myself and my family so selflessly for the past five years. Even way before all of this COVID-19 came about he was always putting Assess patients before anything else. I know many people including a lot of Yale physicians who go to him as a patient because of his knowledge base on top of the true gentleman and a scholar that he is and it shows with his work.

I understand that he’s involved heavily with academia within several local universities and he was recruited by the state medical reserve Corps specific to Connecticut to assist in any role given. As you can envision during this short synopsis of who he is there’s no other answer other than yes for him.

Not only has he been coming into the office assess patients before anything else. As early as 4:45 AM for us to fit us all in for our orthopedic needs but he’s also on the front line testing patients for Covid several days a week again through the Connecticut medical reserve core.

He’s just an all-around wonderful human being and it’s just amazing that while he is pulling 85+ hours a week if you add it all up he still checks in on everyone and you could just simply tell that he cares. When we see him as a family in the office his face is bruised and he looks a little tired but he never let that get in the way of anything.

He’s a true gentleman and I think that he needs to be recognized for this. There’s such a large misconception about certain healthcare providers and what they do or what they’re capable of and I feel like all you hear about our doctors and nurses.

While a chiropractor is a doctor of a different kind the fact that we’ve driven by and dropped off food when he’s wrapped in a Tyvek suit swab and patience just proves that there are so many hidden heroes during these tough times. Please post this and please bring recognition as this is a prime example of someone who is so humble and asked nothing more than for people to smile. I think that he needs to be recognized for this.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
He’s here to serve he cares deeply and this is a gentleman that has saved many peoples lives through diagnosing things the right way the first time. In regards to Covid specific this is a gentleman who’s put his own family on hold to assist others and he even has his wife pregnant at home as we speak. This needs to get out to the public. He is a front line leader and we all in Greenwich and Stamford absolutely love him.

Thank you Dr. Aaron H West for all that you do!
