Flooding Closes Road In Greenwich: Police
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department announced Friday morning that East Weaver Street is closed due to flooding. The roadway connects from Weaver Street to West Putnam Avenue.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Police said drivers should never attempt to drive through standing water.
The forecast from the National Weather Service says showers are likely with possibly a thunderstorm before 1 p.m., then a chance of showers. It will remain cloudy, then gradually become mostly sunny, with the temperature falling to around 46 by 5 p.m.
