Library Partially Reopens For Computer Services In Greenwich

The Byram building's lower level is open for residents to use computers, printers, scanners and copiers if they make an appointment.

GREENWICH, CT — Residents can now enter the Byram Shubert Library to access computers services, as long as they make an appointment ahead of time.

The library is continuing its phased re-opening process this week by opening the Byram building's lower level for residents to use computers, printers, scanners and copiers. Residents who wish to use these services must make an appointment to do so. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

According to an announcement on their website, the library's collections remain closed after temporarily shutting down in the spring due to the coronavirus. Additional phased openings are planned for later in the summer at both the Cos Cob and Main library branches.

"We also require that you sanitize your keyboard and mouse before and after using a computer with the supplies provided," the website reads. "Library staff will also monitor shared spaces and clean the printer, copier and other equipment regularly."
