Linda McMahon Establishes Women's Leadership Program
The Greenwich resident has partnered with 2 female entrepreneurs to organize a female leadership program.

Greenwich resident Linda McMahon, who built an entertainment empire with her husband, and the two-time Republican nominee for U.S. Senate has launched a company that aims to promote leadership for women and help grow their careers.
Women’s Leadership Live (WLL) is based in Stamford and officially launched this week, according to Hearst Connecticut Media Group.
According to its website, “Women’s Leadership LIVE (WLL) will educate, inspire and empower women to stand out as catalysts for change and to build a world where women obtaining and exercising power is both expected and commonplace.”

McMahon created the organization with partners social media design strategist Debbie Saviano and former model Stacey Schieffelin, founder and president of the cosmetics line ybf (your best friend).
The organization is planning events that will combine keynote female speakers, panel discussions and workshops designed to encourage “personal and professional development” and to “build a world where women obtaining and exercising power is both expected and commonplace,” according to its website.

McMahon and her husband Vince founded the Stamford-based global entertainment company WWE. She resigned as CEO in 2009 to run against fellow Greenwich resident Richard Blumenthal for a U.S. Senate seat in 2010. In 2012, she lost a second Senate bid to Democrat Chris Murphy.
